Vehicle Availability

If you are making a reservation to be pick up a vehicle within next 24 hours, your vehicle is subject to availability. Even if you get a confirmation email and confirmation number. In these cases, the best option is to make the reservation and call us at 877-404-0404 so we can confirm the availability over the phone.

After-hour Reservations

If you plan to pick up a vehicle after our normal office hours, the latest time to pick up the vehicle is 11:00 PM seven days a week. Also, there is $55.00 after-hour fee to be added if you pick up the car, after-hour. If the fee is not added to your price quote and you are picking up the vehicle after our closing hours, add $55.00 to your total price.

If you have already made a reservation to pick up a vehicle between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, please cancel your reservation at reservations.atwest-rentacar.com or adjust the pick up time.

Normal Office Hours:
Los Angeles (8: AM to 7:00 PM weekdays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends)
San Diego (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM weekdays, by appointments on Weekends & Holidays) .

18 to 20 year-old drivers (with proof of Insurance)

If you are under the age of 21, and do have proof of car insurance in USA or Canada, please provide the following information on the reservation form or by email at info@atwestrentacar.com.
1. Your insurance company name.
2. Insurance company or agent's phone number.
3. Your policy number.
4. Primary insured name, if not you. (in cases where the policy is under your parents name or etc.)

In order to be qualified for the rate quote you get online, your insurance must include Collision, Comprehensive and Liability coverage.

If you only have liability coverage, we can still rent a car to you, but it will cost you $19.00 per day extra.

21 to 24 year-old drivers

Atwest Rent A Car does rent to 21 to 24 year-old drivers. However, 5.00 per day under-age-fee will be added to the price. You have the option of using your own insurance or purchase insurance online or at the counter.

Free drop off service

LAX Airport drop off:
Free drop off from our Los Angeles location to LAX airport 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. (We may use 3rd party transportation to LAX airport after our normal office hours).

San Diego Airport drop off:
Free drop off from our San Diego Location to San Diego airport is no longer provided.
You can drop the vehicle 24 hours a day and seven days a week using our after-hour drop off procedures. Cab fare to San Diego airport is about $10.00

Fuel fees

The vehicle must be returned with same level of fuel as it was rented, otherwise, refueling charges will apply.

18 to 20 year-old drivers (without proof of Insurance)

If you are under the age of 21 and do not have active car insurance in USA or Canada, please email the following information to info@atwestrentacar.com:
1.Your date of birth.
2.Nummber of days you need the vehicle.
3.Type of vehicle you need.
4.Your pick up date
5.Date your drivers license were issued.
After we get above information, we will email you an all-inclusive quote, including insurance.

Deposit requirement

An amount no less than $250.00 plus the rental cost must be available on credit card when picking up the vehicle. This amount will be $350.00, plus rental, if using ATM debit card. Atwest Rent A Car does accept pre-paid debit card.

Free pick up service

Free pick-up service provided from airport and hotels or within 5 miles radius of the airports. Please call for your free pick up at 877-404-0404 when you arrive at the airport. We are located less than a mile from the airport and would take us about 10 minutes to pick you up.

More than five miles pick-up and drop-off are subject to additional fees and may not be available at all time. Free airport pick up provided between the hours of 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM seven days a week in both Los Angeles and San Diego. (24 hours advance reservation required if needing pick up after 6:00 PM)

Hours of operation

Los Angeles Hours of Operation 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Mondays-Fridays and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM weekends and Holidays. Office hours can be extended to 11:00 PM with 24-hour advance reservation. 24-Hour drop-off can be arranged upon request when picking up the car.

San Diego Hours of Operation 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Mondays-Fridays and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekends and Holidays. Office hours can be extended to 11:00 PM with 24-hour advance reservation. 24-Hour drop-off can be arranged upon request when picking up the car.

Cash-only & debit-card rentals

You may use Cash or debit-card to rent a vehicle from Atwest Rent A Car. However, additional documents like passports return airline tickets proof of address and/or proof of employment may be required for renters with NO credit cards.

Unless otherwise specified, vehicles are allowed in Nevada, Arizona and California only.
